OSHO

I can only give you a direction –
awake, throbbing with life,
unknown, always surprising, unpredictable.
I’m not going to give you a map.
I can give you only a great passion to discover.
OSHO Active Meditations
If you want to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your potential, who you really are. Meditationis the route to that knowing. It is the methodology of the science of awareness.
The beauty of the inner science is that it enables whoever wants to explore and to experiment within, to do so alone. This eliminates dependence on an outer authority, the need to be affiliated with any organization and the obligation to accept a certain ideology. Once you understand the steps, you walk the walk in your own, individual way.
Many of the traditional meditative techniques require one to sit still in order to be silent. Firstly, it is an inner stillness that is valuable, and the outer stillness is only in support of that inner stillness. And secondly, for most of us, the accumulated stress in our bodymind makes inner or outer stillness very difficult.
That's why OSHO Active Meditationshave been scientifically designed by Osho, over a long period of experimentation. They enable us to consciously express, experience, and release repressed feelings and emotions and to bring the body back to a relaxed harmony – and then the journey inwards can begin.
"By meditation I mean silence, awareness, witnessing. You can meditate any time of the day, you can meditate working, walking, doing things. Meditation is not something separate from life; it should not be separate, otherwise it remains a little artificial. Meditation should be spread all over life. You should walk in meditation, you should sit in meditation; that means silently, fully aware. Slowly, slowly it becomes your very flavor…." Osho
- OSHO Dynamic Meditation ®
This meditation is a fast, intense and thorough way to break old, ingrained patterns in the bodymind that keep one imprisoned in the past, and to experience the freedom, the witnessing, silence and peace that are hidden behind those prison walls.
The meditation is meant to be done in the early morning, when “the whole of nature becomes alive, the night has gone, the sun is coming up and everything becomes conscious and alert.”
You can do this meditation alone, but to start with it can be helpful to do it with other people. It is an individual experience, so remain oblivious of others around you. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Dynamic Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Kundalini Meditation ®
This meditation is best done at sunset or in the late afternoon. Being fully immersed in the shaking and dancing of the first two stages helps to “melt” the rocklike being, wherever the energy flow has been repressed and blocked. Then that energy can flow, dance and be transformed into bliss and joy. The last two stages enable all this energy to flow vertically, to move upward into silence. It is a highly effective way of unwinding and letting go at the end of the day.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Kundalini Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Nadabrahma Meditation ®
Nadabrahma is the humming meditation – through humming and hand movements, conflicting parts of you start falling in tune, and you bring harmony to your whole being. Then, with body and mind totally together, you “slip out of their hold” and become a witness to both. This watching from the outside is what brings peace, silence and bliss.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Nadabrahma Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Nataraj Meditation ®
Nataraj is the energy of dance. This is dance as a meditation, where all inner division disappears and a subtle, relaxed awareness remains.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Nataraj Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Devavani Meditation™
In this meditation a gentle, unfamiliar language moves and speaks through the meditator, who becomes an empty vessel.
It deeply relaxes the mind and creates inner peace. It can be done at any time of the day. If done last thing at night, it also creates a profound sleep.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Devavani Meditation music, which energetically supports the first stage and which marks the beginning and end of the other stages.
- OSHO Gourishankar Meditation™
Osho says that if the breathing is done correctly in the first stage of this meditation, the carbon dioxide formed in the bloodstream will make you feel as high as Gourishankar, Mt. Everest. This “high” is carried into the subsequent stages of soft gazing, soft and spontaneous movement, and silent stillness.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Gourishankar Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Mandala Meditation™
Every circle contains a center. In the first three stages of this energetic and powerful technique, centering is the aim, through the creation of a circle of energy. Then, in the fourth stage, the relaxation.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Mandala Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Whirling Meditation ®
Whirling is an ancient Sufi technique. While your whole body is moving, you become aware of your very being, the watcher at the center, which is unmoving. You learn to be an unidentified witness at the center of the cyclone.
Whirling is best done on an empty stomach and wearing loose clothing.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Whirling Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Prayer Meditation™
In this meditation you can experience prayer as an energy phenomenon, not a devotion to God but a merging, an opening. This merging with energy is prayer. It changes you. A new élan, a new life will start penetrating you.
It is best to do the meditation at night, in a darkened room, and going to sleep immediately afterward; or it can be done in the morning, but it must then be followed by fifteen minutes rest. This rest is necessary, otherwise you will feel as if you are drunk, in a stupor.
The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Prayer Meditation music, which energetically supports it.
- OSHO Chakra Breathing Meditation™
This active meditation uses deep, rapid breathing and body movement to open and bring awareness, vitality and silence to each of the seven chakras and thus into your life.
The accompanying music and bells energetically support the process and indicate the beginning of each stage. The meditation is best done on an empty stomach.
All chakras lie deep within, rather than on the surface of the body. The following “map” is used to indicate their approximate locations:
   1. base chakra: the sex center, lower pelvis
   2. sacral chakra: just below the navel
   3. solar plexus chakra: above the navel, below the breastbone
   4. heart chakra: the middle of the chest
   5. throat chakra: the throat
   6. third eye chakra: between the eyebrows
   7. crown chakra: top of the head

- OSHO Chakra Sounds Meditation™
This meditation uses vocal sounds to open and harmonize the chakras or energy centers while bringing awareness to them. It can bring you into a deep, peaceful, inner silence either through making your own vocal sounds, or by just listening to the music and feeling the sounds within you.
The meditation can be done at any time of the day.

- OSHO No-Dimensions Meditation™
This active centering meditation is based on Sufi techniques, further developed and expanded by Osho. Using the breath and a series of coordinated body movements followed by whirling, your energy becomes centered in the hara, the “life energy” center below the navel. From there you can watch the mind and experience awareness and wholeness – the body moving in all directions, the center unmoving.

- OSHO Mahamudra Meditation™
This meditation is a meeting between you and the cosmos, between you and the whole of existence. It helps you to merge, melt and let-go on the deepest level possible.
There are two stages, with no precise timing for each. The format given below is one that works well to start with. You can do this meditation any time during the day or just before you go to sleep. If you choose to do it during the day, make sure you have some free time afterward before resuming your normal activities.

- OSHO Heart Meditation™
In this meditation, based on a small fragment from Atisha, the founder of Tibetan Buddhism, you allow all the suffering – of yourself and of all the beings in the world – to ride on your incoming breath and reach your heart. The heart can do miracles, it immediately transforms the energy. You drink in misery, and it is transformed into blissfulness. Then, on your outgoing breath you pour that blissfulness into the whole existence.
The meditation has no fixed format; the format given below is one that works well to start with and you can adapt it as you like later on.
This meditation can be done with specific OSHO Heart Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the stages.
- OSHO Laughter Meditation™
This meditation helps you to start enjoying the small things of life – childlike, liquid, mirrorlike. The first stage is of giggling and laughing, in the second stage you earth yourself; energized by this, your dance in the last stage will have a different quality.
The meditation can be done with its specific OSHO Laughter Meditation recording, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages.
- OSHO Golden Light Meditation™
This is a simple method of transforming your energy and leading it upward.
It is best done at least twice a day, for twenty minutes each: in the morning just before getting out of bed and in the evening just before going to sleep.
The meditation can be done with its specific OSHO Golden Light Meditation music, which energetically supports it.
- OSHO Gibberish Meditation™
Gibberish is one of the most scientific ways to clean your mind. This is a cathartic technique which encourages expressive sounds and body movements, followed by a deep merging or a silent relaxation.
- The OSHO Evening Meeting
The Evening Meeting is the time when everyone can dance and celebrate and then sit silently.
Osho Medıtatıve therapıes
The Osho approach to therapy is that it can never be the ultimate solution to human problems, but it can be used as a tool to help prepare the ground for meditation. The revolutionary insight is that analysis and verbalization, the basis of traditional therapy, is not curative. The mind cannot solve the problems created by the mind.
Based on this understanding, Osho has created a series of "meditative therapies" that give participants the opportunity to release whatever is repressed that lies at the root of their inner conflicts. Once these tensions are dissolved, the participants are able to sit silently and discover the art of watching that same mind – that creates problems in the first place. In this way, they can now avoid adding new repressions in the future.
Uniquely simple and effective, these methods involve a minimum of interaction among the participants, but the energy of the group helps each individual go more deeply into his or her own process. No “language” is required, nor a "therapist." A trained facilitator is present to support the participants in their individual processes if needed.
Osho No-Mind
A seven-day event, lasting two hours each day. The first hour is spent speaking any language you don’t know, just gibberish. With this freedom to express whatever is on your mind, thoughts, emotions, moods…. Then in the second hour, silence descends on its own.
“I am dealing with the contemporary man,
who is the most restless being
that has ever evolved on the earth.
But people do become silent;
you just have to allow them
to throw out their madness, insanity,
then they themselves become silent.”
Osho
OSHO No-Mind is a seven-day course, which includes one hour of Gibberish and one hour of silent sitting together as a group from about 10am to 12 noon.
It also includes Osho Dynamic Meditation at sunrise, Osho Kundalini Meditation at sunset, followed by the Osho Evening Meeting.
First Hour:
Gibberish
In that first hour of the Multiversity course, we have the perfect opportunity to throw out the gibberish of the mind. As Osho explains, “Gibberish is one of the most scientific ways to clean your mind”.
Nothing is prohibited except touching other people. Don’t touch or harm anyone else in the group.
What Is Gibberish?
Just say everything that you ever wanted to say and have not been able to say because of civilization, education, culture, and society. Be very passionate, as if you are talking, as if your whole life is at stake.
You are talking nonsense and there is nobody except you, but be passionate, be in a passionate dialogue. Saying anything that is moving in your mind, all kinds of rubbish – throw it out. And say it in any language you don’t know!
Speak any Language you don’t know
Use Chinese, if you don't know Chinese. Use Japanese if you don't know Japanese. Don't use German if you know German.
Shouting, laughing, crying, making noises … making gestures ….
Sounds will come – utter them – and one sound will lead into another.
Soon you will be speaking Chinese and Italian and French, languages that you don’t know.
Enjoy the Freedom that all the Birds have
Simply allow whatever comes to your mind without bothering about its rationality, reasonability, meaning, or significance. For the first time enjoy that freedom – the same as all the birds have.

Osho Mystic Rose
The Mystic Rose is a three-week process, lasting three hours per day. There is one week of laughter, one week of tears, one week of silence. A chance to experience your pain and suffering simply disappearing. Leaving you with only the joy of silence.
Laughter, Tears, and Silence
For 21 days:
Laugh for 3 hours a day for 7 days,
Cry for 3 hours a day for 7 days, and then
Sit Silently, for 3 hours a day for 7 days.
The course includes OSHO Dynamic Meditation for the 3rd week and is optional for the first two weeks. Also included, every day, is OSHO Kundalini Meditation and the OSHO Evening Meeting.
Let the Scars of the Past Be Dissolved
Whenever any experience is not fully lived in the moment, it leaves a residue inside us. It may be a small thing or something really significant but those residues or scars stay in the unconscious blocking our natural ability to flower to our full potential.
Whatever is left in the unconscious remains, waiting for an opportunity to be expressed, accepted, and resolved.
No Need for Words, Discussions or Analysis
When we allow all our un-laughed laughter, our un-cried tears, and our un-lived silence to be experienced, we can allow whatever is in the unconscious to flow freely and be lived now – and be resolved forever.
The laughter, tears and silence do their work without the need for words, discussion, or analysis as is typical of conventional “therapy.”
You just participate with totality and sincerity, and the rest happens by itself.
Osho Born Again
A seven-day process, lasting two hours a day. In the first hour you allow yourself to become a child again. Discover the beauty of that spontaneous, genuine individual we once were. Then follows an hour of just sitting, when silence happens naturally.
“Again you are born,
but it is a different birth,
not out of a father or a mother.
It’s out of your own self.”
Osho

OSHO Born Again is a one-week process created by Osho to rediscover the beauty of childhood without verbalizing or analyzing our past psychological experiences.
The course includes one hour of allowing yourself to just be a child again, and one hour of silent sitting together as a group from about 10am to 12 noon. It also includes OSHO Dynamic Meditation at sunrise, OSHO Kundalini Meditation at sunset, followed by the OSHO Evening Meeting.
First Hour:
Becoming a Child Again
For the first hour of this Multiversity course, you behave like a child. Just enter your childhood. Whatever you wanted to do, do it – dancing, singing, jumping, crying, weeping – anything at all, in any posture.
Nothing is prohibited except touching other people. Don’t touch or harm anyone else in the group.

- Osho Self-Hypnosis for Meditation
Self-Hypnosis for Meditation is a guided trance process in which you will learn how to relax yourself into self-hypnosis.
“For spiritual growth I don’t think there is anything more important than hypnosis.”
Osho

An exploration of the role of the unconscious mind in meditation
We make resolutions, believing we can force change in ourselves through conscious decision. But our resolutions never last long and we find ourselves stuck in the same old patterns again. Osho explains this phenomenon:
“The unconscious never hears anything that the conscious is deciding, and the conscious cannot control the unconscious – the unconscious is so vast.”
Fighting with thoughts and emotions is a fool’s game
When we meditate, our desire to stop the chatter of the mind can become an obsession. But meditation has nothing to do with winning a battle against thoughts and emotions. Meditation is total relaxation, with awareness. It is watching without judgment, becoming a witness to whatever is present at any given time.
Getting to the root of our resistance to meditation
Our unconscious mind contains old patterns and memories which are the basis of our resistance to fully letting go into meditation, but these patterns can be released through self-hypnosis; and once the unconscious mind is onside meditation is an easy, natural process.
“As we live, as we are, it is a deep hypnosis. Whatsoever we feel, whatsoever we think, is based on hypnotic projections.” Osho
How often do you make a firm, conscious commitment to something and then find it just doesn't happen? Or become aware that you are, yet again, repeating an old destructive pattern of behavior?
Osho explains this:
“The unconscious never hears anything that the conscious is deciding, and the conscious cannot control the unconscious – the unconscious is so vast.”
Learn how to use the mind to harness the power of the unconscious – to enhance healing, increase creativity and bring a greater sense of relaxation and playfulness into your life. Self-Hypnosis for Meditation is a guided trance process in which you will learn how to relax yourself into self-hypnosis. If you find that your mind goes crazy the moment you sit down to meditate this will show you how to get to a space where a cool, detached watching is possible.
“The secret of hypnosis is that it takes you to the unconscious, and then you can put the seed of anything in the unconscious, and it will grow, blossom. The blossoming will happen in the conscious, but the roots will remain in the unconscious.”
“Such a simple method, which only demands a little trust, a little innocence, can bring miraculous changes in your life – and not in ordinary things only. Slowly it can become the path of your meditation. You meditate, but you don't succeed. You don't succeed in watching; you get mixed up with thoughts, you forget watching. You remember later, 'I was going to watch, but I am thinking.' Hypnosis can help you; it can make the watcher and the thoughts separate. For spiritual growth I don't think there is anything more important than hypnosis.” Osho
- Osho Emotional Freedom
Defusing the powder keg of repressed emotion
Emotional Freedom and Stress Release works with repressed emotions, exploring how they hold us back from creativity, love, and happiness. We use emotional release techniques with deep understanding and respect, so that your heart can be unburdened, bringing you new energy and the strength to live and love totally.
“We are just a heap of repressions. Those repressions are always there working in the unconscious, constantly disturbing you, poisoning you. Unless they are released you cannot feel at ease with yourself. And if you cannot feel at ease with yourself, how can you feel at ease with the universe? If you cannot feel at home with yourself, how can you feel at home with the universe?” Osho
WHY ATTEND THIS SESSION?
Are you ready to take the leap into freedom?
Life is very different when your heart and mind are free of the burden of repressed emotion, when you can simply relax and allow your natural spontaneity. The world becomes a friendlier place when we relax – relaxation, friendliness, openness are all contagious; so somehow those around you become a lot more relaxed too!
“You have not been in contact with yourself for so long, for many lives. You are alienated from yourself; you have become a stranger to yourself because of this repressive attitude. We go on repressing everything. You have not screamed, laughed, you have not cried, you have not done anything authentically, deeply, in which your totality is involved.” Osho
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Self-acceptance. Beyond the blame game
Ways of safely releasing repressed emotions and becoming less reactive to outside events
To understand the power of tuning in to the body in the present moment and releasing tension at the physical level
The importance of acknowledging your feelings, allowing them to arise with acceptance and understanding
The freedom that comes when you stop making others responsible for your feelings – when you move beyond the blame game
This is an opportunity to experience the witnessing consciousness – that place of stability and safety that lies beyond thoughts and emotions. The place of freedom
“... in control you repress, in transformation you express. But there is no need to express on somebody else because the “somebody else” is just irrelevant.” Osho
